Jacob Catherine Themes Johnson M 20 Sep 1888
Looks as if a Jacob and Mary had a son. Jacob and an Eliza had a child,
sex not specified. Then a Jacob and Catherine Themes had a son. They all
lived in Johnson County, which suggests you will want to look at Johnson
census and marriage information. Maybe Brown County has some helpful
additional information with marriage licenses in that era. I'm guessing
that Jacob who m Cordelia is a son of one of the above marriages.
You may have more than two Jacob Fishels. Rachel is another name for Mary,
but note that the dates for occurrence of marriage and births of children
do not coincide for a single Jacob to have married two women consecutively.
Jacob's marriage license c 1915 ought to include more information. It may
say who his parents are. You might check with the Morgan Co Public library
staff to learn if this information is available on microfilm. I think this
route would be faster than contacting our county clerk's office, which you
may still need to do.

While searching through the summary of Indiana Marriages 1845-1920, I
find
that there are three wives associated with Jacob FISHEL. On 20 May 1866 in
Brown County, a Jacob FISHEL married Eliza C. FLEENER. Then, on 5 April
1885 in Brown County, a Jacob FISHEL married Rachel E. FLEENER. Finally, on
6 November 1915 in Morgan County, a Jacob FISHEL married Cordelia PRATHER.
Does anyone know if these are all the same Jacob FISHEL?
