Sorry to take so long to reply: Am now typing off notes: We, Layton Jay and Mary M. Jay
of Morgan county convey to Thomas J. Jordan of said county (land description_, 40 acres,
and 1acre in the northeast corner of section 11 subject to the interest of Mary Weidner,
widow of William Weidner, deceased, who has heretofore had her interest therein assigned
to her for the sum of 203.-5. Witnessed May 2, 1855.
Mary Weidner of Morgan county convey to Thomas J. Jordan, her son of Morgan county, all
her interest, right, title and estate in land. Her interest is the said one acre in said
section and 23 acres adjoining said 1 acre as laid off and assigned to me by order of
court as widow of William Weidner, in consideration of the fact that said Thomas J. Jordan
has agreed and is bount to support, maintain and provide fully and amply for me all the
necessaries and comforts of life for me during my lifetime, so I sign, 10 December, 1855.
The last paragraph says: 1/2/55 Mary Weidner vs Jefferson Weidner, Wm. Weidner, Mary
Ann Rusk and (unreadable_). Partition of land of Wm. Weidner dec. Mary the widow
assigned her interest 1/3 part.
Negotiations go on through 1858 much the same but I guess it means Wm. Weidner died
shortly before 1/2/55. Okay?
