Cathy,
Pulaski County Indiana caught my eye regarding your search for BOLIN.
I did a search of land grants in Indiana since I had a History of White and
Pulaski Counties, which listed an ELIJAH BOLIN in Pulaski County at the
founding in 1839/1840. He entered land in I think 1843. I will attach a link
that I hope works, which will show all the BOLIN's that received land grants
in Indiana. This may give you some leads to look into. If this link does not
work I am supplying a second link which will take you to the homepage of
land grants, just select Indiana, type in Bolin and you will have the same
information. The earliest one in Indiana is a Richard BOLIN in Montgomery
County in 1829.

I am searching for Sherman Bolin, b 1860 in IN, parents are believed to have
been born in S.C. I don't know anything about his parents or if he had any
siblings. He married Eliza Jane Combs and had six children, lived in
Pulaski Co, IN. Found them in the 1900 census. I am at a brick wall and
unable to find anymore info on his parents. They are listed as unknown on
his death certificate. Are you aware of any connection?
Thanks
Cathy
