I don't know if this would fit in with your Walkers but I have a Allen Walker

Samual Becknells dau. Nancy marr. John Kemp and their son Evan. b. 1793 at NC
marr. Mahala Hupp in Tenn Aug. 19, 1824 at Wayne Co. Ky. They came to Morgan
Co along with many related families including the Hicks (Hix) family and
LeFever family from Wayne Co. KY. On line the History of the Nowlin family
displays the pedigree in a format that is very scccint. Johnny Cash goes back to the
Cash Walker line in VA. and his genealogy is online too. The Skinners,
Cash's, and Walkers all emigrated from Strathmiglo, Fife, Scotland. That site give
you a clan finder and you can find the clan the ancestor came from and a brief
history of the clan. From locations in your query, I would suspect that you
will trace back to this group of emigrants. I have been given a great deal of
information on the Kemps, Becknells, Walkers, etc. but have not taken the time
to really organize it yet as I am a senior and just had a knee replaced which
has taken a great deal of my energy and time in the last year. Guess I needed
a new knee but could have done without the experience of receiving it. If any
of this is of interest to you, let me know and I will copy some of my
information. There are several Rev. soldiers who have been filed on by various DARs in
the lines back so there is a lot of paperwork to support this genealogy. I
keep intending to write an article for the Morgan Co. Gen. Soc. but haven't done
it yet. My line did NOT inherit Johnnys vocal talents. Guess too many
generations back for the gene to come this way. Darn it.
