I have been to the Martinsville Library, and Centenial Cemetery both. The Cemetery is not very large, and a little hard to find. I have some photos of the Church that is there, and of some headstones. Most are related to the Gallaspy (variations) family. If you contact the Martinsville Library, they have a small book complied by the Jr. Historical Society, and it lists all of those buried at Centenial. Along with the inscriptions, dates and markings on the tombstones. Hope this helps you all out!

Marcia,
thank you for the info on th Schultz/s family. When I visited the library in Salisbury, Rowan Co., NC I was told that many of the people migrated down the trail from Pa. The next time I go over there(about 3 hours East of here- Hendersonville,NC) I'll check the old records for the Schultz/s family name. I think your info on the Solomon Watson family is from Sherrie Smith - my cousin's daughter in Iowa. Sherrie gave me her disc containing all the Watson family history.
Thanks again for the info, and if I run across any Schultz info I'll let you know. Darryl
I am looking for descendants of Mary Emily Searcy born abt 1830 in Morgan County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Robert and Mary Spivy Searcy/Scearsy.
Thank You,
Jennifer Banks

Hi Darryl,
I am afraid I have little NC info. I do have some 1790 census copies that have possibilities for Christian's father, but no proof. Isabel Goss's family is documented in a book about her father, Fredrick Goss, who came from Switzerland (I believe) to NC. I also have a picture that on the back says that George Shults (son of Christian) came from PA to NC. Now, George was b. in NC, so I imagine it was referring to his father's family. There was a lot of German migration from PA to NC in the 1700's.
I do have info at home about the Mary and Solomon Watson family, who settled in Iowa. It came from a descendant of that family and I will give you more info on it if you are interested.
Marcia
