thats ok i appreciate your looking. I found a Henrietta Brown the right age in Vermillion co. with a four year old daughter she stated she was born in Ky. she is living in the household of a Matthew Harrison. i did find out tho that she died in 1915 in Mooresville, I am only a mailing list for a genealogy finding site and they do free lookups from different data bases. They found her death record. so i am going to try to get to Mooresville and look up a Obit for her. so i appreicate your trying. thanks sue

Sue. I think you are probably right about Henrietta being married before, but will be difficult to prove. In the 1900 census she indicated that she was born in Ky, father in Md, and mother in Ky. She was living with Jonathon and two sons, Franklin and Randolph. I am not sure this is her but in 1910 there was a widow living by herself in Morgan county named Arnila Bain, could that have been her middle name? She also indicated she was born in Ky but listed both parents from Md. I don't think she was the sister of Thomas, but can't be sure. Sorry, I can't be of more help. Don

I'm looking for information about Miranda Greeson, b. about 1846 in Indiana. She married George Losh in Morgan Co. on June 25, 1861 and they had children George W (b. 1861), John W. (b. 1863), Edgar (b. 1868), Mollie (b. 1870), and Clara Belle (b. Sept 1873, m. Titus Baker Everett May 27, 1893, d. June 24, 1927). I know that George and Miranda lived in Morgan Co until at least 1880. I would greatly appreciate any information about Miranda's parents, because I know that there are several Greeson's who were living in the county in 1840 (Eli, Jacob, & John), so I figured that she is the daughter of one of them, but because that census doesn't record the names of non-household heads, it is difficult to tell. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks.

Hi don, i was wondering if i could impose on you for two small favors if you can find it. I am trying to find Henrietta Brown that married Jonathan Bain they were married in 1866 in Marion co. Ind but i can't find her in 1850 or 1860 census living with her parents. I am beginning to think that she might have been married before Jonathan and married a Brown she was born in 1837 in Ind but i don't know where.
I had thought Morgan co. but now am not so sure of that.
and when and where she might have died. Jonathan Bain died in 1907. It didn't list him as a widower so I am not sure if she was still alive after that or not. he died in Morgan co. so i am assuming that they lived there at the time. but not positive. Any help would be appreciated. One thing incase it might help. Jonathans sister married a Thomas Brown so i am wondering if it might be Henriettas brother. they were married in 1854 in Morgan co. also. thanks ever so much Sue

Hi Sue,
Thanks for posting -- however I have re-checked the Ancestry.com index and
images and when I run the search on Ancestry.com I get BOTH Benjamin and
Andrew Stafford in Morgan County in 1840.
However - I have a probates file for Andrew that place him in Morgan County
in 1840.
Also the Ancestry.com index used to bring up the Andrew Stafford listing of
my previous post. I am wondering if someone has access to the film? Or has
found a listing for him before? Or has some other evidence to tell what
family he lived with at that time?

you could try the Mooresville or Martinsville library in town, they would both probably have the info you need. I grew up in Mooresville and i know that Stafford was a name i have run across before. They both should have their addresses listed in the white pages on the net. I do know that the ladies at Mooresville are very helpful and will try to help if you ask. I would look for you but i don't know how soon i can get back to Mooresville for it to do you any good. I will however keep an eye out for him if i do make it there in the next couple of weeks. Sue

I am having trouble with getting an image to come up on ancestry.com 1840 Morgan County, Indiana census. If I run a search for Andrew Stafford I come up with the following listing, but can not bring the image up.
Name: Andrew Stafford
Township: Not Stated
County: Monroe
State: Indiana
Roll: 99
Page: 116
Number of persons in household: View Image
Ages of persons in household: View Image
Occupation information: View image
Does anyone have access to the microfilm and could you look on that page for Andrew Stafford. I would like to get a copy of that page if possible and will be happy to reimburse for expenses.
Thanks --
Sharlene

Really appreciate your help. Thomas Jefferson Weidner, aka, Jefferson T. Weidener, married Elizabeth C. Fowler Weidner, Sept. 1844, Morgan Co. Ind.--Daughter of John and Mary ? Fowler, who had come into Morgan Co. Ind.,, along with Alexander Fowler families, from what became Butler Co. Ind., where the Weidner's had also been.---Lee Widner, who had studied all spellings of the name, sent an email, before he passed on, stating that he believed, there was no relationship, between the Joh Weidner, of Knox Co. Ind., (Va. Weidners), with the line we are researching, known as the Bucks Co. Weidner's, going back to John and Elizabeth Johnson Weidner. Whatever info we have, always glad to share with anyone searching, as so much we want to know, and so little time to get it together. Again, sincere appreciation for your help.--

Thank you, so much for your help! Somehow, these people all should fit into the same family. The Shelby Co. Ind. Weidner Families, are given to have been from Butler Co. Ohio, where I believe ours also were. Thanks for taking the time to share this. Do you have any Weidner, Kenyon, Fowler, or ?? Indiana Ancestors?
Hi,
I am researching Nathan Duckworth who died in Morgan Co. around 1839. I
don't know where he and wife Mary (Burkhart) are buried. Nathan had lived
in Johnson County but moved to Morgan in the 1830's.
Any info on this line is greatly appreciated,
