We have recently upgraded our website pages to make navigation somewhat faster and more intuitive. The Indiana atlas series is a useful research resource for those of you interested in early Indiana places and names:
http://www.har-indy.com/in_map/in_index.html
Each Atlas CD consists of a series of either 8 or 9 bordering counties making up 1 of 11 Zones that depict all of Indiana's 92 counties. Each Zone Atlas contains high resolution scanned images of vintage 1876 county maps that are presented in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF).
Each county map may include the following 19th century features:
* roads, railroads and canals
* cities, towns and villages
* post offices and government sites
* one-room schoolhouses, churches and cemeteries
* rivers, streams and ferries
* industrial sites, furnaces and mills
* early homesteads and farms
* and much, much more
The Historic Atlas of Indiana series is an invaluable aid to Genealogists, Historians and researchers in search of 19th century Indiana places. The Adobe Acrobat Reader for MS Windows is needed to view, zoom, pan and print from the PDF map images contained in this atlas; and is included free on each CD. No other software is necessary.
The Indiana CD's are also available for purchase on eBay at by following this link:

Strangely enough, I went to a seminar just yesterday concerning documentation, and was reminded that I need to do a better job of documentation. I will send you what I have, but it may take a while to get it all organized. I have nothing new on the Hammans/Kimblers since my last post, but have recently connected Synthia Ann Hammans husband, Burgess H. Pendleton to James Pendleton/Rebecca Ray of Kentucky and Indiana. Thanks for your note.

A dear friend and I are looking for some help finding some babies that were born and died at birth or shortly after birth. Her family has said that Joseph Hugh Quinn and his wife Rachel B. Hobson had 18 children, but all of the lists show only 12 or 13. The family says that there were triplets born and died at birth. Now there is a space of time between 1863 and 1868 that these births could have happened. Also there were a set of twins born and named Polly and Molly and they are not listed also. Another son Nathan is also talked about in the family. Thanks so much for your help, Lavania
