Scott, have you a Prior Hammons who married Matilda Burk?
Many of the cemeteries have been transcribed by the Morgan County History
and Genealogy Association cemetery committee. Helen Wildermuth has put
this information into a series of notebooks at the Morgan County Public
Library.
Janice Enk has taken care of queries for members at a reduced rate. See
the MCHAGA web page for information. If she doesn't have time to answer
queries, check with Patience Northern at the library. See the library web
page for mailing information.
Since you don't know the cemetery, you should at least identify the
suspected township, or cite a deed where these persons owned land.
Some cemeteries are yet to be restored with tombstones yet undiscovered or
identified.

The only thing i could find was a William Wyatte on the 1880 census for Putnam co. at 57 years of age with his wife Mary A. at 53. I put his birth at about 1823/24 so, the only other suggestion I have is that he would have to have been in Indiana at least by 1863 when his daughter Matilda was born so he could still be in TN in 1850 but other than that that is all i found. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Sue
