The only Margaret Reed I've seen in KY. records of Lincoln County. Believe it was tax records of 1790---1800's for John Reed.
The Filson Club probably is your best source of information, but they charge $25./hour for research info.

Message Board Post:
I am seeking additional information to substantiate and/or correct the following on the family of Riley B. Hogshire of Boone, Marion and Morgan counties in Indiana in the mid 1800s:
Riley B. Hogshire was born circa 1795-1798 in Worcester County, Maryland, the son of William and Martha Hogshire. After his father's death in 1816, the mother and her children (sons Thomas, William, James, Riley, Samuel and daughters Edith and Marguerite) migrate west. Ultimate destinations in Indiana are Dearborn, Putnam, and Boone counties.
Riley married Rachel Barrett on 12-22-1826 in Clinton County, Ohio. Rachel dies on 10-10-1850 and is buried in Old Augusta Cemetery in Marion County, Indiana. She is said to be 39 years old. (The 1850 census shows Riley Hogshire in Pike Township in Marion County and lists his wife as Rebecca, age 40; perhaps the full name of Riley's wife was either Rachel Rebecca Barrett or Rebecca Rachel Barrett).
Children of Riley and Rachel/Rebecca were probably:
1. Samuel Handy Hogshire, born 1828 in Clinton County, Ohio. He married Sarah Loftin on 1-16-1851 in Marion County, Indiana. He died 2-15-1911 in Jacksonville, Morgan County, Illinois.
2. Mary Ann Hogshire, born 8-6-1830 in Ohio. She married John Smelser on 9-8-1846 in Boone County, Indiana. She died 2-14-1893 in LaPortre, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
3. William Riley Hogshire, born 4-5-1835 in Northfield, Boone County, Indiana. He married Mary E. Johnson on 10-15-1863 in Marion County, Indiana. He died in February, 1887 in Boone County, Indiana.
4. Sarah J. Hogshire, born 1836 in Indiana. She married William A. Walker on 10-3-1852 in Morgan County, Indiana. She died 8-11-1867 in LaPorte, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
5. Elizabeth Hogshire, born circa 1836 in Indiana. There is a 3-2-1864 Morgan Co. IN marriage record for Elizabeth Hogshire and William Bond. No record of an Elizabeth Bond, born circa 1836 in Indiana, can be found in the 1880 census.
6. Eliza E. Hogshire, born circa 1838 in Indiana. No information found beyond the 1850 census, where she is living with Riley B. Hogshire.
7. Alvina (Alvira, Elvira) Hogshire, born 1841 in Indiana. She died 1871 in LaPorte, Black Hawk County, Iowa. She is buried in the same cemetery as Sarah J. (Hogshire) Walker in LaPorte, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
8. Rebecca Hogshire, born circa 1847-1848 in Indiana. (In 1860 she was living with John and Mary Ann (Hogshire) Smelser in LaPorte, Black Hawk County, Iowa). She married John Kingsbury in 1869 in Benton County, Iowa. She died on 3-1-1914 in Defiance, Shelby County, Iowa.
After the death of his wife, Riley B. Hogshire married Mrs. Elizabeth (Walker) Kitchen on 2-19-1851 in Morgan County, Indiana. (After Riley's death between 1850 and 1854, she married William Baughn on 8-24-1854 in Morgan County, Indiana; she died there in 1895 and is buried in Centerton.)
Note: Various public records in Maryland, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Iowa record the surname as Hogshire, Hogshier, Hogshear, and Hodshire.
Any information providing additional substantiation or corrections to the above will be appreciated!

I'm doing research on the Hogshire/Hodshire family and have two individuals from this family who married in Morgan County in 1851 and 1852.
Did marriage applications exist in this county at that time? If so, did the applications include information on the name of parents for the groom and bride?
The two individuals I am looking for such information on are (1) a Riley B. Hogshire married 2-19-1851 to Elizabeth Kitchen, and a (2) Sarah J. Hogshire married 10-3-1852 to William A. Walker. The marriage record index for each has their surnames spelled as "Hogshear."

Grant & Mary Moffitt Stafford are buried in Williams Cemetery in Green Township, Morgan County, Indiana. This cemetery is near the corner of Henderson Ford Road and State Road 37. This is south of the town of Waverly and north of the town of Martinsville. It is also north of the Foxcliff housing development. Henderson Ford Road is the only road in this area to cross the White River, but the cemetery is on the right and the river on the left if you are coming from Indianapolis.
The cemetery you visited off of Blue Bluff Road is in Washington Township. Hope this helps. Pat
Hi Folks,
Does anyone know anything about Eliza C (maiden unknown) Pierce Dillman
Anderson Botenheimer.
Here's what I've learned about her so far:
She was born about 1848 and died after 1903.
I don't know what her maiden name was.
She married (1) Lewis Pierce, who died (date/place unknown). Assume no
children as none listed with next marriage.
She married (2) William Dillman, 15 April 1862, Johnson Co, IN, who died
(date unknown). Their children: Jemima, Lydia, Charles, John, Mary Dillman.
Living in Johnson Co, IN in 1870 census.
She married James Botenheimer (Bodenhamer) about 1880, who died (date/place
unknown). Living in Johnson Co, IN in 1880.
She married John Anderson 14 May 1894 in Morgan Co, IN, who died before 1903
probably in Monroe or Morgan County. Was living in Bryants Creek, Monroe Co,
in 1890.
Any clues and information about her greatly appreciated.
Cathy
