I would appreciate a look up in the Martinsville City Directories
for this name, for the years 1946 to 1949. I do not have an address. I am trying to pinpoint when and where my family lived there. I would like to know the address, and whether my family owned the property or rented.
Thank You

Unwritten Law doesn't Save Frank Fulford
Frank Fulford, a former Monroe County man who has been on trial at Vincennes for murder, goes to prison for life.A Vincennes Dispatch tells the story;
"Frank Fulford< the Edwardsport coal miner, who on Dec 11 last year shot and killed Ben Morgan during a dispute over a small account,must spend the remainder of his life in the state prison at Michigan City.This is in accorance with the verdict returned by the jury after finding the defendant guilty of murder in the first degree as charged in the indictment.The jury reached the verdict in 65 minutes. While such an early finding was not expected, the fact that the jury found the defendant guilty did not come as a surprise.While the defense had endeavored during the trial to show that the killing of Morgan was justified by the unwritten law because of an alleged insult to Fulford's wife no evidence was introduced to indicate that Fulford had killed MOrgan then the dispute over the claim for wages.
Hope this might help anyone working on this line.
