HUNTING FOR STEEL TRAP YOUTH KILLS SELF
Body of Fred Young Found By His Brother North of Unionville.
While going to find a steel trap which he had placed on a steep hill one
mile north of Unionville Tuesday, Fred Young, 19 year old son of Alexander
Young, stumbled, and as he fell a double barrel shot gun which he had been
carrying cocked went off and struck him over the heart. The body of the
youth rolled down the hill and was found seventy-five feet from where the
first blood spots were located.
When he did not return home a searching party was organized at the
Unionville depot and the body was found by the young man's brother. An
examination of the gun showed that one barrel was still cocked. The young
man was 19 years old. Funeral will be at 11 o'clock tomorrow.
