As Judge Miers had been one of the counsel in a number of cases he was unable to try them,
and so they were set down to Judge Jorden. They were Cox vs. Cox, to quiet title; Owens
vs. Robertson, on note; Brown vs. Mears, foreclosure; Baird vs. Litton, ejectment.
