Wage increases that will benefit twenty-five clerks of the C&O was announced today.
The new schedule of salaries is an adjustment of wages for an equalization of rates.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kaiser of Miles, Mich., are the parents of a daughter, born
yesterday. Mrs. Kaiser was formerly Emma Wendt of Peru.
The rural Letter Carriers’ Association and their auxiliary held a meeting at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. A C Bruce, 533 WestThird street, last evening. At 7 o’clock a buffet dinner
was served after which a business session, in charge of Charles Wareham, was held W J
Pitts, of Kokomo, state president of the association, gave an interesting talk.
Miss Lillian Wagner was hostess at a pretty party at her home, 379 East Sixth street, last
evening when she entertained the teachers of the North Grove school and a few friends.
Games and contents were enjoyed.
Miss Mildred Lavengood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W H Lavengood, who is visiting in
Louisville, Ky., will broadcast a musical program over the Louisville station tomorrow, it
was learned here today. Miss Lavengood has been attending Millersburg College,
Millersburg, Ky., where she is specializing in piano and voice.
