A band concert and public entertainment together with initiation of twenty-five candidates
are to be held at the Eagles home Sunday afternoon. The public is invited to the entire
program except the initiation. The band concert will be given at 1 o’clock in the lounge
of the home. The initiation will take place at 2o’clock and at 3 o’clock the upstairs
will be opened to the public for the program.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Adams of Perry township, are the parents of a son, who has been named
Harold Lee.
At a meeting of board of directors of the Wabash Valley Trust company yesterday Charles V
Reed and Paul R Hostetler were elected to serve as assistant treasurers of the bank for
the ensuing year. Both men have been connected with the bank for the past ten years.
“Pirates of Penzance” presented by the Peru high school glee clubs in the school
auditorium last night was declared a decided success by a large crowd that witnessed it.
The operetta, which was in two acts, was directed by A W Ahrens, musical supervisor in the
high school.
