Construction of buildings this spring and summer in Peru will total more than $400,000 it
was revealed today.
Largest expenditure is $121,000 for the new hospital wing: a four-story office building to
be erected on Court street by David E Russell and Oliver Rhodes and William Ditzler will
cost approximately $50,000 and $42,000 will be spent by the C&O railroad on its
buildings and equipment here.
The Jerry Mugivan home on East Main street will cost approximately $40,000. Alison Bell
is constructing a new building on East Main street which will cost around $15,000.
Fire destroyed the eight room farm house occupied by Roy Mills and family in Union
township, a mile east of Perrysburg, yesterday afternoon with a loss estimated at $4,000.
The house, owned by Mills’ father, Eugene Mills, former county commissioner, was partially
covered by insurance. The fire is thought to have started from sparks from the chimney.
Superintendent Foreman and Principal Fletcher of the Goshen schools made an inspection of
the new Lincoln school and equipment yesterday.
