Walton - Graveside services for Rebecca Gayle ACHEY, who died early Wednesday morning,
were ate the Deer Creek Cemetery, west of Onward, at 2pm Thursday.
Born Mar 22, she was the infant daughter of Richard and Marilyn McMahn Achey, Logansport,

Rochester, Ind - Roy R DAVIS, 65y old, retired Pennsylvania Railroad employe, died
Wednesday after suffering a heart attack in his home near Fulton.
He was a member of the Walton Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 2pm Friday in Ditmire Funeral Home at Fulton. Burial will be in
the cemetery at Buffalo.
Logansport, Ind - Samuel GERST, 66, 2509 High Street Road, retired merchant, died at
3:58pm Wednesday at St Joseph's hospital. he was owner of the Smart Shoppe at 415
Broadway for 30 years, prior to his retirement in 1956, at which time he sold the store to
the Golden Rule.
Final rites will be at 11m Friday at the funeral home, with Rabbi Albert SHULMAN
officiating. Burial will be in Mt Hope cemetery.
Lafayette, Ind - State Police Corporal Robert DEETER, Lafayette, died Wednesday morning in
a Lafayette hospital after a lengthy illness. Corporal DEETER had been in charge of a
truck inspection detail for the Lafayette State Police Post. his wife, three daughters and
his father survives. Final rites will be at 10am. Friday in St Mary's Cathedral,
Lafayette.
Galveston - Mark Leroy McDONALD, 66, died Wednesday at St Joseph's Hospital, Kokomo.
He was a resident of Galveston Route I.
Surviving with the widow are a son, James E McDONALD, of Galveston; a sister, Mrs. Edith
PLATT, of Galveston; a brother, Ira McDONALD, of Elko, Nev.; four grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews. Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2pm Saturday from the Baptist Church in Galveston. The Rev
Edward Finley will officiate. Burial will be in the Galveston Cemetery. Friends may call
at the Thomas Funeral Home after 10am Friday.
