Take this with a grain of salt because I've never looked up divorces in Miami County,
but in Tippecanoe County the divorces were in with the court records. Since the court
records were indexed, they were able to look them up. But if the court records aren't
indexed then your best bet would be to go through everything (very time consuming). I had
something similar come up with my Miami County Clear family. In Samuel Clear's pension
record it indicates that there was difficulty in his widow obtaining his benefits because
they couldn't find proof that he was divorced from his first wife (whom he'd
married in Illinois - no one ever knew about her and still can't find a marriage or
divorce record anywhere in Illinois or Indiana.) I'm not sure if they ever resolved
the issue as Samuel's widow died only about 2 years after he did.

I also have a couple of divorces I would like to find about
this time period
in Miami county. I've never seen divorces on the Miami
County web site, in
fact, few counties seem to ever display them due to perhaps
difficulty to
obtain or time to input needed for other records.
