Thank you again for the prompt response. If I am asking too much of you,
just tell me to go back to my room. But here it goes: The Peru Tribune
said that Samuel Stephen Butler and Cora Shafer "were married 5 April 1927
in Michigan". I have been searching that state diligently to no avail. But
I recently found out that there is a Michigan city in INDIANA (LaPorte
County). How can I search for a marriage there?
Respectfully, Carol (Butler)

Carol,
I posted the obit on the Walton Cemetery site.
http://incass-inmiami.org/cass/cemeteries/walton/WTNbuch.html It says
they
were married in 1927, but it doesn't say where or the exact date.

Thank you Debby, for the info.
I am curious about the wife Cora, since she was not my gr-mother. Can you
tell me how to find anything about her, i.e. did they have any children;
their marriage license; where she went after Samuel's death?
I apologize for so many questions.
Best Regards, Carol
