Easter OUSLEY, 62, 72 Shields Ave., died at her residence at 2am Monday Aug 8, 1983 on her
birthday anniversary.
She was born in Prestonburg, KY Aug 8, 1921 to Willie and Ocie PRATER WRIGHT. On Oct 5,
1939 she married Ernest OUSLEY, who died Feb 28, 1972.
Mrs. OUSLEY was retired from Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Wabash.
Surviving are one son, Don of Peru; one daughter, Deloris STORCH, Peru; four brothers,
Willie WRIGHT Jr., Logansport, Hodley WRIGHT, Rt 2, Tommie WRIGHT and John WRIGHT, both of
Peru; five sisters, Caroline THORPE, Mildred HOLDREN, Lora ESTEP, Viola WRIGHT and Nora
BECK, all of Peru, seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild. One son is deceased.
Services will be 10:30am Thursday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home with the Rev Cannus Sparks
and the Rev Gene Ousley officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may
call from 5 to 9pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Norman E BELL, 68, 69 N Wayne St., died at 1:15am today Aug 9, 1983 at Dukes Memorial
Hospital after an eight-months illness.
A lifeling resident of Peru, he was born Aug 16, 1914 to Harry E and Mary STEELE BELL. He
was married March 1, 1967 to Maxine MAY who survives.
Also surviving are an aunt, Helen WELKE, Peru and two sisters-in-law, Juanita CART,
Logansport and Ina WILSON of Peru.
Mr. Bell was a member of Mexico Baptist Church, Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and #67 Masonic
Lodge, all in Peru; the Murat Shrine, and York Rite, all in Indianapolis. He was retired
salesman.
Services will be at Flowers Leedy Funeral Home at 1:30pm Thursday with the Rev James Lund
officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7
to 9pm, Wednesday at the funeral home; there will be a Masonic service at 7.
Shirley McNAMARA ANGSTEN, 55, Waupaca, Wis., formerly of Peru, died at 5am today Aug 9,
1983.
She was the daughter of James and Laura McNamara. Survivors include her husband Robert
and three sons.
Services will be Thursday morning at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca.
Omer PIERATT, 74, Rochester, died at 6:10pm Monday Aug 8, 1983 at Indianapolis St Vincent
Hospital. He had been in failing health for 10 years and seriously ill for two weeks.
He was born in Maytown, KY Jan 13, 1909 to Clay and Minnie WARD PIERATT. He was married
Nov 21, 1931 in Rochester to Ida E HUFF who survives. He lived in Rochester the past
three years, moving there from Peru.
Surviving with his wife are one daughter Louanna PUGH; one sister Irene HUNTER; one
brother, Elwood PIERATT, and one half sister Helen KELLY, all of Rochester; three half
brothers, Harvey NICKELL, Rochester; Ward NICKELL, Bringhurst and B R NICKELL, Logansport;
three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at Foster and Good Funeral Home in Rochester at 2pm Thursday. Burial
will be in Plainview Cemetery, Macy. Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Wednesday at the
funeral home.
