Hello Deanna,
Sorry I can't help with your ancestors but wanted to give you a tip.
If you use your subject line you will get a better response. I am on
many lists and for the most part, people that are on a lot of list will
just delete a message with no subject line. It is recomended that you put
the surname in caps in the subject line. You will then catch the eye
of anyone that has info on that surname. Wishing you good luck with
your search,
Debbie

Hi Everyone, I am new to the list and thought I would see what I could come
up with. I am searching for the decendents of Joseph and Sarah Fowler. I
am specifically looking for the wife of Philander Fowler after he died and
her children. Her name was Mariam(n) (LUSE) FOWLER. Philander and Mariam
had a farm close to the county line on the Wabash county side for several
years till he died in 1848. I believe she may have moved to be with some
of her children who were married and living in the Perry twp area of Miami
Co.
Their first child is Margaret she married Harmon BIGGS 15 Dec 1844 in
Wabash county and were living with Mariam on the farm in the 1850 census.
Then moved to Miami County by the 1860 census. In this time they had 5
daughters named Lydia, Martha, Mary E, Crisa? and Amanda. I have lost them
after this.
Second child Joseph Leonard married Waity Jane LUCE on 25 Dec 1845 in
Wabash county. I have been able to find Joseph and Jane in the 1850 census
here in Miami Co. I then pick up the family in 1867 in Logan, IN. They
then show up in DeKalb Co., MO in 1870 census. They move again by 1880 and
are in Liberty Twp of Woodson Co., KS. I believe Joseph to be buried here.
Jane moved on with her children to Oklahoma and possibly died in either
Beaver or Woodward Co in OK. Their children were John Wesley, Elemander,
Rolanzo, Electa L., Mary E., Charles L., Amos Franklin and Anna Bell.
Their third child is John H or N. he was born about 1927. I have not been
able to find him after the 1840 census.
Their fourth child is Mary Ann and possibly married a ? STUART. I have no
other info on her after the 1840 census also.
Their fifth child is Matilda and she married William H. Wilkie on 1 aug
1852 in Miami county. I have so far not able to find them either in the
1860 census.
Their sixth and tenth children were girls and died before 1850.
Their seventh thru eleventh, Philander, Aurilla, Charlott and Wesley
disappear also with their mother after 1852.
Can anyone tell me another little clue as to where this family has
disappeared to after 1850?
Thank you for listening to my story. Deanna in Redmond, WA, USA
