Subject: [INMIAMI-L] Introduction
Hi!
I'm new to the group and just saw the introduction message that Nancy
sent to the list. My name is Jenny Rice. The listowner and I are
cousins through our HAYES line. Some of the surnames I am searching are
HAYES, ALDREDGE, CONNER, HENDERSON (figure it can't hurt, Nancy! :)
My greatgrandparents were Samuel Johnson HAYES and Joanna ALDREDGE and
they came to Miami County, IN about 1895. Samuel was from an old
Virginia family. Their son, my grandfather, William M. HAYES, lived in
the area for a while, but sometime after 1907 (when he married my
grandmother, Cleo Grace CONNER) he left the area, and ended up
eventually in Cook County, IL.
If anyone on the list is searching these names, I'd love to hear from
you!!! Particularly interested right now in finding out information
about ?? HENDERSON who married my grandmother, Cleo Grace CONNER
sometime about 1900...the marriage did not take place in Miami County
(that we can find), tho she met him there.
Thanks!
Jenny Rice
