I am researching the Glassburn clan and I need some help. I am trying to
find out if a Gilbert Glassburn is the son of Anderson Glassburn. Anderson
md Sarah Alice Marquiss in 1883/4, Gilbert was born in 1881, but Indiana
records weren't kept until 1882. I have heard stories of how he came about
but I can't find any proof. Has anyone researched this line at all.
Anderson was md 1st to Cassie Hostettler. She died and he then md Sarah
Alice Marquiss. If anyone can suggest where I can look for information on
this please email me on the list or personally at treeseek2(a)aol.com
thanks JanetJanet - I have an Aunt Sally Glassburn who was formerly married to a
Hartgrove of which I am related. She was the oldest living widow of the
Spanish- American war in at least Miami Co. In (I think in all of
Indiana). If this helps I will look up the info I have on this.
She is buried in Rankin Cemetery south of Peru, MIami Co. In. Helen Dye
