Cheryl - yes, Maria Heim is Mary Heim, my gggrandmother b. Aug.6, 1825. In
1860 Miami County (Clay Twp.) census, she is listed with her husband, John
BRENNER, and three children, I know the two youngest are hers, don't know
about the oldest child. By 1870 census Mary is in Wisconsin or Minnesota (I
need to check on the state). Her husband is not listed. I wonder if he
died in Miami Co. Ind. Have not found him in any Civil War records that are
available to me.
You may know that the Heims and Dewalds were in Schuylkill County PA. I was
there years ago and visited the cemetery where many are buried. I copied a
lot of the stones.
Mary Heim Brenner remarried and I have a copy of her marriage certificate
which names her father as Leonard Heim (also mother as ???). I need to dig
out my records on all this. I did most of my research about 30 years ago.
I believe I have a copy of Leonard Heim's will.
Mary Heim may have married John Brenner in Miami County. It is possible that
he is buried there, but would be a very old grave if he died 1860-70. Does
Miami County have deeds as far back as 1850-1860's? If John Brenner bought
land, it might tell where he came from - "John Brenner of (county, state)".
Will appreciate help from anyone. Also will be happy to send any info I
have to others.

Yes, this is the same Hannah. I didn't have a Mary listed as a
sibling,
but a
Maria, b. 6 Aug 1825. Could that be your Mary? Other siblings that
I
have are:
Rosina, b. 16 May 1806, George Leonard, b. 6 Apr 1810, Elizabeth, b.
27
May 1813,
William, b. 26 Aug 1820, Catharina, b. 5 Feb 1808. These were the
children of
Leonhard Heim & Maria Barbara Dewald. Leonard was the son of
Matthias
Heim & Maria
Magdelena Reid. Maria Barbara was the daughter of Johann Dewald
&
Catherine Reber,
who happened to be the grandparents of Hannah's husband, Samuel.
Does
this agree
with your info?
I will be glad to see what I can find out about your Mary & family when I
get
a
chance. If they are buried at Weasaw, I'll be glad to get a
photo of the
stone, if
you'd like.
Cheryl
