Sorry to break in here on the DAWALD discussion, but do any of these names
ring a bell for someone. Some of my Berkheisers are buried in Weasaw
Cemetery. My information here is sketchy at best.

George first married Katherine Ham.
They had one child:

George second married .
They had the following children:
i. Henry.
At the time of his Lucy's death, was living in Denver, IN.
ii. Eli.
iii. Julia.
At the time of Lucy's death, was living in Denver, IN.
Julia married Alspach.
iv. Eliza.
At the time of Lucy's death, was living in Colorado.

2. Lucy Emaline DeWald. Born on 9 Feb 1856 in Union TWP, Miami Co., IN. Lucy
Emaline died in 2 1/2 miles northeast of Denver, Miami Co., IN bef 9 Aug
1943, she was 87. Buried in Aug 1943 in Chili Cemetery, Richland TWP, Miami
Co., IN. Religion: Mt. Zion Reformed Church, Miami Co., IN. Cause of death:
due to a heart ailment.
DEATHS
Mrs. Joseph L. Berkheiser.
Mrs. Lucy Emaline Berkheiser, aged 85 years and widow of Joseph L.
Berkheiser, died at 1:20 o'clock Monday morning at her home, two and
one-half miles northeast of Denver, after a three week's illness of a heart
ailment.
Mrs. Berkheiser had been a lifelong resident of the Denver community.
She born in Union township, Feb. 9, 1856, the daughter of George Dewald and
Katherine (Ham) Dewald. She was married to Joseph L. Berkheiser, who died
in 1935. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Reformed church..
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. T. J. Ewer, of South Bend, one
grandchild; two great grandchildren; two half brothers, Henry Dewald of
Denver, and Eli Dewald, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Julia Aspach of Denver
and and Mrs. Eliza Raber of Colorado.
Funeral services were conducted from the Kline funeral home Denver
Wednesday afternoonat 2 o'clock with the Rev. C. F. Golden afficiating and
burial was in the Chili cemetery.
Pallbearers were Harvey DeWald, Grover DeWald, A. E. DeWald, Dewey
DeWald, Roy Guyer and Merritt Berkheiser. Flower bearers were the Mesdames
Harvey and Grover DeWald.
Lucy Emaline married Joseph L. Berkheiser, son of William P. Berkheiser &
Hannah Lutz. Born on 27 May 1857 in Schuylkill Co. PA. Joseph L. died on 26
Jan 1934, he was 76.
They had one child:
i. UNNAMED.
married T. J. Ewer.
