I don't know if they are any of your family but there were
Oyler's in Grant
County, around the Converse/Jalapa area, Converse lays on the Miami/Grant
County line. I remember my Grandfather talking about the Oylers, the time
period would have been about 1900 - 1920. I know on my husbands side of
the
family they sort of went back and forth between the Converse area and
the
Amboy area.

There were several Oyler families in Miami Co on 1860 census. I am
particularly interested in the family in Clay Township, town of Wawpecong .
This family had a son named Lewis C. Oyler who probably was my great
grandfather.
Can anyone locate Lewis or this family on an 1870 census?
Where is Wawpecong relative to Peru?
