My great grandfather, Rev. Francis Asbury Fish, ran a grocery store in
Bunker Hill Indiana after he retired, but I don't know exactly what years.
In his undated ledger he sold quite a few items to "Bob Oiler, also spelled
"Bob Oyler" on another page. One of the people buying from him died in May,
1909, so these entries are 1908 or prior to that because there are purchases
marked for Oct, so it couldn't be 1909. Just wanted to mention that in case
"Bob Oyler" is of interest.

Subject: Re: [INMIAMI-L] Oylers of Miami County
Thanks to all of you. I was surprised to know there were and are
still
many
Oyler's in Miami Co. It seems the Oylers I am searching for
moved around
some. They were in Ohio for a period (1840), moved to Northern Indiana
(1850), then to Miami Co (1860 census). I could not find this family on
the
1870 census in Miami Co. but I noticed that they were just a short
distance
from other County boundaries. I've posted to the Oyler Surname
message
board.
Here is what I believe:
William Oyler
Lewis Colfax Smith (7/1859) --- Mary Emeline Oyler (Smith)(1837)
Elizabeth Oyler
After an 1863 divorce, Mary disappears but Lewis seems to show up in
Wapecong with another Oyler family and having taken the name Oyler.
