The Peru Public Library shows a couple of volumes of various cemetery
inscriptions. I don't live in that area so do not know if they would do a
lookup for you or not.
http://www.peru.lib.in.us/genealogy/annotated_bibliography.htm
There is a "contact us" at the bottom of the screen.
I have relatives buried in Mount Hope and borrowed microfilm through my
public library's interlibrary loan to search for those records. But they
were not Catholic, so there may be a special cemetery for Catholic burials.
Good luck!

Subject: [INMIAMI-L] KRAMER, Elizabeth and Christopher
I am new to this list and to researching in Indiana. I am hoping to
receive
some assistance from the people on this list.
Christopher KRAMER, b 1839 Germany, married my gr-grandaunt Bridget Early
in Canada in 1865. After her death in 1873 and sometime before 1880,
Christopher took his two sons, John and George Anthony and a daughter Ann
and settled in Wabash, Wabash County, Indiana. Christopher is recorded as
marrying a second wife, Nancy Dwyer, in Canada just a few months after the
death of Bridget.
I recently received the death certificate for Christopher in 1909 and
noted that he then had a wife named Elizabeth. Presumably she would have
been his third wife and this is confirmed by the 1880 census for Wabash
County which states she is his wife and she was born in Canada. Likely
they were also married in Canada..
Christopher was a Roman Catholic and he died in Peru, Miami County where
the family lived for some time so in all likelihood he is buried in an RC
cemetery somewhere near the city. There are no on-line cemetery databases
so I am unable to locate an inscription or burial record for him or
Elizabeth.
Could some kind person look through the cemetery inscriptions for the Peru
area to see if Christopher and Elizabeth Kramer are buried locally? Any
assistance would be most appreciated.
