Lorna June,
I was re-reading one of your email replies, and I realized that you said you
have a copy of the marriage application filed by Samuel Adamson and Ann
Clendennen. Is there any information on that document regarding Ann's place
of birth or previous marriage? Would you mind providing me with an extract,
or maybe a scan of this document?
thanks,
Mitch

My 2 great grandfather Samuel Adamson's second marriage was to Ann
Clendennen sp? in Miami County 4th day of Dec 1843. I have not
researched Ann's family, as I am from the first wife Naomi Lamb.
Samuel Adamson was born in NC and is buried along with Ann at Chili Cem.
Miami Co. IN. I received a copy of their marriage application from Miami
Co. Health Dept. Another of this Adamson line researcher, is Bobby
Lilley, former Miami Co deputy. Bobby took me to the grave site when I was
visiting home several years ago. Of course the "stones" are very bad
shape. Bobby has had some health issues, so I don't know if he is
montering this web site. He might know about the Clendennings of Miami
Co. If he doesn't contact you, let me know and I will send his e-mail
addy. Sorry can't be of help as I live in NC.

Does anyone know the state of naturalization papers filed in Miami County?
Is there an index available online? I'm looking for any
Clendening/Clendenning papers probably filed between 1845-1855, but
possibly
early 1840s. Appreciate any leads!
