There are 2 Jacob Smiths and no Randolph Smiths in the index. The 2
Jacobs are :
Smith Jacob M W 77 (???) Nov 24 1913 Peru
CH 13 69
Smith Jacob Allen M W 45 Yrs. Apr 9 1916 Perry Twp.
H- 1 13
Your Jacob may have died earlier than when death reporting was required
and the death may not have been reported.
There is a Jacob with, I assume his wife in the Gaerte Cemetery in Perry
Twp.:
SMITH
(1) Sarah, 1857-1931
(2) Jacob, 1848-1917
If this is not them, the obituaries and death notices and /or the
obituary index in the museum or library in newspapers is your only hope.
You might contact the archivist at the Miami County Museum at:
http://www.miamicountymuseum.org/
he will be glad to help you, but it is first come first serve and it
does take a while if they have a lot of them.
Good luck and happy hunting,
John

How can I find a death date for RANDOLPH JACOB SMITH who lived in
Perrysburg
Township, Miami County? He was 57 in the 1880 Census, so his death
would
have occurred some time after that. His wife's name was
Lavinia/Lovinia
Hiles Smith. Is there a death list for this county?
