Hi Sharon J.
Re: Anna Mary Cornbrosty
My family, the Cady's, had property near the Musselman and SWOVERLAND
property. The families apparently were friends as one of the Musselman's
appears as surety in my grgr grandmother's probate.
" Miami County Probate No 3177, pg 144, Judges Issue Docket
Probate. Estate of Catherine CADY. Wm. H. BISH, Administrator, letter
issued 31 May 1902, penalty of bond $1,200.00. Names of sureties: John G.
MUSSELMAN, David O. LOVE. Clerk is ordered to deduct interest due to claims
against estate since allowance out of surplus in his hands. No goods and
chattels. Petition for authority to repair roof on barn, also cellar door -
petition granted. Nelson COOK and Charles Ne???ph appointed appraisers of
additional inventory."
A living descendant of another Miami resident gave me the following advice
which might also benefit you:
"You might contact Jeanne Musselman about the schools and land records. She
is researching the county schools and has many photos. She is also quite
familiar with the land in the Denver area."
Further info on Musselman, and other residents of Chili:
"Miami County, Indiana villages and towns, extracted from the
"Indiana State Gazetteer Business Directory 1882-83.
