This is correct.
And there is much more to come!
The FamilySearch site is undergoing a facelift as well as an upgrade so you might have to
try more than once as what they thought would done in 48 hours is taking longer
(debugging)
BUT on the site, click on News.
You will find 3 pdf files (Adobe Reader required toopn - download free at
www.adobe.com)
The "Sneak Peek at the Future" is well worth seeing.
The estimate is that it will tke 6 years to digitize all the microflms (yes, all 2.4
milions+ of them!). They show other things too.
This was a presentation given by David Rencher, president of the FGS, in September 2005.
Enjoy!

Hi everyone,
This information came from another mailing list, I thought someone may find helpful...
"LDS Family History Library has announced that it has begun the process of
digitizing and making available on the Internet all of the Family History books in their
collection. About 5000 books have been digitized and are available, and they have
announced that they are adding about 100 titles a week to the on-line collection.
Copyright issues are playing a role in determining the order in which they progress
through this task; books out of copyright are being done first."
Go to the web site of the Harold B. Lee Library at BYU,

the home page, from the list of collections that are displayed, follow the links:
