I have a bunch of notes to look over and put into my computer program but
a quick look at what I have already says frances had two daughters:
Nancy (Kekenokeshwa) b. about 1804, married J. B. Brouilette
Jane (Ozahshinquah) b. about 1814, married Louison Godfroy, also married
Rev. Peter Bondy, died 1-25-1877 at age 62, leaving a husband and nine
children. (I expect there is a good chance that the girls married more
times. It was common among the miami. I may have more info on that.)
If Frances was having babies in 1804 and 1814, chances are she would be done
having kids by 1851.
Probably a grand daughter. I will see if I can find my new notes and see
what they say. I believe the Miami co. page has info on Frances. Been trying
to get all my notes into my computer program but since my grand daughter was
born last sept. I never had time. I watch her a lot and we love it.
NOtes:
Frances was taken as a young girl on 7-3-1778.
Jane (Osawshequah, means yellow leaf)was the second daughter of frances.
Jane married five times and had twelve children. First she married Louis
Godfroy, nephew of Francis Godfroy, the last war chief of the Miamis, who
became chief when Frances Slocums husband , Shepancanah, retired from the
chieftainship. Jane's daughter by her next marriage to Wapshingqua, was
named Kinozachwa, married Gabriel Godfroy son of Chief Frances Godfroy. She
was the favorite grand daughter of Frances Slocum.
Frances died 3-9-1847.
Will let you know what else I find.

Thanks so much for posting these! But - call me confused, as usual.
And this question is not directed to you personally, but to the list in
general, and Deb in particular.
How could Rosanna Peconga have been a DAUGHTER of Frances Slocum? If
she (Rosanna) died in 1901 at the age of 50 years, that would
make her birth
date about 1851 - right?
Frances Slocum died in 1847 and she was about 73 years old when she
died. To the best of my knowledge, she only had 2 daughters who survived.
KE-KE-NOK-ESH-WAH [Nancy], born about 1800, who married Jean Baptiste
BROUILLETT and O-ZAH-SHIN-QHAH [Jane], born about 1815, who married Louis
GODFROY.
I wonder if they meant to say GRAND-DAUGHTER of Frances Slocum???
Deb????
