Mary Ann Miller, 55

Mary Ann Miller, 55, Lafayette, passed away at 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2005 at her
home.
She was born March 3, 1950 in Rochester. She married Michael L. "Mick" Miller on
September 5, 1970 in Perrysburg, and he survives.
She worked for 21 years in banking, most recently as assistant vice-president of
Fifth-Third Bank before leaving three years ago. She was a member of First Assembly of
God, a member of the American Banking Association, and served on the board of directors
for New Directions.
Survivors other than her husband include one son, Bryan Miller and wife Talia, Lafayette;
one daughter, Dawn Miller, Avon; two brothers, Bob Southerland and wife Vicki of Sarasota,
Florida, and Rick Southerland and wife Tracey of Minneapolis; her mother, Doris Fouts,
Kokomo; one step-sister, Marilyn Galloway, Kokomo; and step-brother, Jim Galloway and wife
Theresa, Bemidji, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Wibel; and a half-brother, Jeffrey Wibel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday at First Assembly of God,
Lafayette with Pastor Greg Hackett officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at First Assembly of God, Lafayette. Memorials
may be made to Together in the Harvest Ministries, Dallas. Arrangements are being handled
by Soller-Baker Funeral Home, Lafayette.
Barbara A. Helvie, 73

Barbara A. Helvie, 73, Peru, died Sunday, May 15, 2005 at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice
Center, Fort Wayne.
She was born December 17,1931 in Peru to Everett and Ruth Stevens. Her first marriage was
to George Eckelbarger, and her second marriage was to James Jackson Helvie, who preceded
her in death.
Helvie was a former resident of Huntington and had lived in Peru for the past 30 years.
Survivors include four sons, Reverend Richard Eckelbarger, Croswell, Michigan, Don
Eckelbarger, Rockford, Illinois, John Eckelbarger, Huntington and Jim Helvie, Fort Wayne;
one daughter, Jackie Brodrick, Huntington; one brother, Ed Stevens, Peru; four sisters,
Susie Fisher, Anderson, Connie Smith, Peru, Bonnie Friend, Colorado Springs, and Jo Lemon,
East China, Michigan; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
One brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
Her body was cremated and graveside services will be held at a later date.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Community Baptist Church, 5501 E. Peck Road, Croswell,
Michigan.
Michael P. Warnock, 59

Michael P. Warnock, 59, rural Wabash, passed away Monday, May 16, 2005 at 9:30 p.m. at
Wabash County Hospital.
He was born November 11, 1945 in Portland to Dale Perry and Hazel Matilda (Stoner)
Warnock. Warnock married B. Faye Arthur in Fort Wayne on February 2, 1989. He was a
long-time plant manager at Gaunt and Son Asphalt, Wabash.
Warnock was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, and a member of
the Wabash Fraternal Order of the Eagles #549. He served in the Indiana National Guard two
years and was a die-hard Indiana University fan.
He is survived by wife; three sons, Chad Warnock, South Bend, Robbie Warnock and wife
Jill, Ashburn, Va. and Tyler Warnock and wife Rebecca, Noblesville; one step-daughter,
Rayna Larrowe and husband Shawn, Wabash; two step-sons, Anthony Johnson and wife Rhiannon,
Indianapolis and Daniel Johnson, Indianapolis; three sisters, Dixie May, Mavis Phillips
and husband Jim, and Ann Gillespie and husband Larry, all of Fort Wayne; eight
grandchildren, Alyssa Faith Warnock, Noblesville, Dalton Johnson, Colin Michael Larrowe
and Allison Larrowe, all of Wabash, Dale Johnson, Mikey Linville, Jr., Isiah Brant and
Tyler Brant, all of Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be cnducted at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester
Ave. Wabash, on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating.
Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Wabash.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the
funeral home.
