Marie N. Hill, 79, Peru, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Thursday at Logansport Memorial
Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, Peru.

Sandra K. "Sandy" Clingaman, 58, Peru, passed away 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11,
2005 at Dukes Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 5, 1947 in Peru to Vernon and Betty Myers Gochenour, and married Ronald
E. Clingaman on June 27, 1965. He preceded her in death. She was engaged to be married to
Adelard Fluette, Peru. He survives.
Clingaman worked at Wal-Mart in Logansport. She was also a manager at McClure's, Peru.
She was a member of the Moose and American Legion.
Survivors include her fiancee; mother; daughter, Kelly Clingaman and fiancee Matthew
Pearce, Peru; a brother, Jerry Gochenour and wife Ruth, Peru; and two sisters, Karen Sims
and husband Richard, Peru and Debra Cline and husband Tom, Peru.
She was preceded in death by her husband; father; and one brother.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home,
Peru, with Pastors Rod Correll and George Dinkel officiating.
Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Love offerings may be made to the family to help with expenses.

Effie Jo Gibbs, 52

Effie Jo Gibbs, 52, Middletown, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2005.
Effie Jo was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky, on November 8, 1952 to Evalee Smith Gibbs
and Kelly Gibbs. She was raised in the Vancleve, Kentucky area and attended Breathitt High
School. She married Charly McQuinn in Cincinnati in 1970. They divorced and he preceded
her in death in 1998.
Effie Jo was a member of Carlisle Community Church, Carlisle, Ohio. She was a homemaker
for several years, and was later employed by the Carlisle Restaurant. She was known for
her compassion, and enjoyed helping people and spending time with her grandchildren.
Gibbs is survived by two daughters, Tammy Spencer and husband Leonard, Middletown and Tish
Soldi and husband Jay, Peru; four sisters, Anna Belle Gillum and husband Robert, West
Union, Ohio, Bonnie Smith and husband Doug, Middletown, Vonda Sue Stidham and husband
Larry, Peru, and Nancy Lee Wills and husband David, Lebanon; four brothers, Jonnie Gibbs
and wife Lucille, Jackson, Kentucky, Perry Gibbs and wife Jamie, Peru, Claude Gibbs and
wife Barbara, Peru and Herbert Gibbs and wife Oge, Monroe, Ohio; and five grandchildren,
Nathan and Mason Spencer, Middletown, Spencer, Sebastian and Phoebe Jo Soldi, Peru.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Carl Gibbs; a sister, Ruby Mae Gibbs;
and a grandson, Tyler McQuinn.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Deaton Funeral Home, Jackson, Kentucky.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday at 4 p.m.
