Hello everyone
I do not have any Sims in my family history or anyone from Indiana, but
today I received a geography book that I bought from someone in Indiana and
inside I found hand-written rental agreements between Olive Sims and a J. Girdley,
Edward Montgomery and William Kimbrell and Charles Williams at different
times in early 1900's. It looks like one of the property's rented is in
Kechsille (spelling)
What a wonderful find for someone who is a descendent of Olive Sims or one
of the renters. In some of the handwritten documents, Olive Sims gives the
number of the lot, and what part of the property was rented, who was
responsible for what. All of the hand-written documents have never been folded and in
pretty good shape.
Also in this book was a loan of Treasury Department for Registered Bonds in
the amount of $2,000, but no name is on the from. It is for the First
National Bank, Odon, Indiana. I would love to send these documents to a family
member of Olive Sims. I found an Olive Sims in McCameron, Martin County and
Clay, Miami County in Indiana for both 1900 and 1910. It is always amazing to
me what one can find in old books, I know I have found some treasures for my
family ancestors.
I would love to return these to the family's of this person, if no
descendents, is there a Genealogical Historical Society for Martin's County Indiana
which I may send these documents.
