Thanks for the link! That's all there was? They refer to an amended
petition and parol proofs between the parties but the court didn't
keep a copy? Would it be in one of the metal file boxes?

It will give you an idea of what to expect in a divorce record. No relatives
or even children's names were mentioned. In the divorce records in the
1850's in Martin County that I've seen, none state a reason for the divorce.
Also, at the time of their divorce, the circuit court records had no
shortage of divorces granted. I was surprised at the number granted in that
session of the court.
