FRED HARRIS
"DIED"
"Abe G. Dietz, who had been sick for some time, died on his home place
about three miles southeast of Sugarcreek, on Friday Feb., 24th. The
funeral taking place on Tuesday forenoon at the Union Hill Church,
conducted by Rev. Harshman of the Lutheran Church. The remains were
laid to rest in the cemetery nearby. His age was 69 years. A large
concourse of people attende the funeral considering the bad roads we are
having at present. Mr Dietz took a prominent part in the affairs of the
county, and served the county in the office of commissioner some time
ago in an honest and just way. He leaves a large circle of relatives and
friends to mourn his departure." ( I am related to him through my

"OBITUARY"
" John J France was born May 5, 1823 and died near Sugarcreek, Ohio Nov
1, 1908 aged 85 years' 5months and 26 days.
April 6th, 1851, he was married to Christena Harris ( my GGG ??), who
prceeded him in death over twenty years ago.
He was one of a family of 11 children, 9 girls and 2 boys and is
survived by 4 sisters, Sarah Frances and Elizabeth Maurer of Tusc. Cty.,
OH., and Susan Staam and Caroline Lahr of Stark County. For nearly
nine years he made his home with the family of Gottlieb Zingery where
he died of dropsical trouble and infirmities of old age, after ann
illiness of about two months.
Early in life he became a member of the German Baptist or Bretheran
Church and remained a faithful and consistant member until death.
The remains were laid to rest beside his wife inthe Union Hill cemetery
Nov 4; services conducted by Rev Ed Shepler and SJ Berger."
"DIED"
" Mrs. Elnora Wertman, widow of the late John Wertman, died at the home
of her daughter, near Dundee, Sunday. Internment in the Union Hill
cemetery, Tuesday. Her age was 78 years, two months, 13 days.
