If anyone is exploring the old cemeteries of Martin Co. please keep an eye
open for the surname Moberly (Mobley). I need birth and death dates, and
middle names for three members (Robert, Delilah, and Winchester) of this
family who died between 1840 and 1852. They may be buried in the old Trinity
Springs cemetery, but I'm not certain about that. And they may not all have
been buried in the same cemetery.
Does anyone know who mows the old Trinity Springs cemetery? I'm told that
contacting the grass-cutter is a good way to locate your ancestors' graves!
I would also like to know the date of death of Lucetta E. Lanning. She lived
in Dover Hill and probably died in the last quarter of the 19th century.
If anyone is going to do any searching in the Dover Hill cemetery, please
let me know. I have some information from a book, but I'm not sure the
person who recorded the information deciphered some of the old stones
correctly, and I think the top section of one stone, containing the first
name, may have been broken off in one case. If someone could take a good
look at the stone they might be able to tell.

Hi Ken, I think we are talking about the same cemetery. It is about
ten
miles
south of Loogootee and east of highway 231 about two miles.I
can't
remember
the name of the road but there are two large grain bins on the west
side
of
the highway.I will be going there next month sometime. Let me know
what
you
are looking for and I will see what I can find. Ron

Her father, Robert Gibson, and mother, Emily Allen Gibson, along with other
kin are buried in the Inman cemetery. Her home was in the valley at the
bottom of the hill east of the cemetery. I have been unable to locate her
grave there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
