Thanks for the directions. Between yours and Nancy's, I shouldn't have any
trouble finding Love Cemetery or Jug Rock. I will be looking for William
Standley, Jane Love Standley, James W P Love, and Sabra Love, all of whom
are supposed to be buried in Love Cemetery, but you never know wo else I may
find.

Subject: Re: [INMARTIN] Love Cemetery and other cemeteries locations
I was hoping that someone more knowledgable would answer you. I
don't
live
in Loogootee and my cousin was driving when he took me to Love
Cemetery.
But
it's in Sec. 7-3-4 and according to the Martin Co. map that I
have there
are
several ways to get there -- one is to go past St. John's
Cemetery and
continue
(north) on road 73. Turn right (east)on road 66 til just past Little
Boggs
creek. Road 13 is a paved road going south (don't take it) but
seems to
continue north as a gravel (?) road. Go north and the Cemetery is on the
corner
of
rd. 13 and rd. 70.. It is behind a white farm house on a slight hill
--
you
can see it from the road. If you're in Loogootee, anyone can
tell you who
lives
in the house and how to contact them, since you go through their
property
to
get to the cemetery.
Another way is to take highway 150/50 east to just past the railroad
tracks,
turn north on 13 and, tho you wiggle a little, it goes straight up.
Jug Rock is on highway 150/50 just before you get to Shoals.
Hope this helps -- or I can be corrected. How are you looking for in Love
Cemetery? Most there are ancestors of mine.
