Ken,
If you haven't found this website yet, it lists many of the cemeteries near
Loogootee:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~inmartin/cemeteries.htm.
The roads around Loogootee aren't marked very well, and many are gravel. I
drove a mile down what I thought was a road only to find out it was
someone's driveway! I found Woods Cemetery just by driving around, which
was a very good find since many of the graves were those of my ancestors. I
am hoping someone can give me directions to Love Cemetery, because I wasn't
able to find it, driving around all afternoon.
Maybe someone can tell me how to get to Jug Rock, too?
Christine

Subject: Re: [INMARTIN] Love Cemetery and other cemeteries locations
Hello Christine or anybody who answers us.Does anyone know how many
cemeteries there are near
or in Lagootee and there names?I am trying to find my 3th great
Grandfather James H..McFerrin
He lived 10 miles south of Lagootee and 4 miles from Allfordsville. He
moved to this area in 1844 or
1847.James and his wife Sarah Clapp/McFerrin may be buried near by or
in
Lagootee cemeteries.Sure hope that some
kind soul can locate my Grandparents in one of these cemeteries who
lives
in the area.
Hope you can help us both. Ken ken(a)ihot.com
