Well, I am going to try my best to get to the Rock. I'm not afraid of the
brush, as long as it's not poison ivy! I already had a run-in with poison
ivy this year while hiking, don't want to go through that again.
I had tried to find the Rock on previous trips, but was unsuccessful.

Jug Rock is on the north side of the highway before getting into
Shoals.
However, when I was through there last summer, the Rock was hardly
visible due to the growth of trees and underbrush.
I had talked with our Nancy Baker who had mentioned speaking to one of
commissioners about cleaning up around the Rock. Hopefully, this has
been done.
If you aren't familiar with the Rock's location you will miss it. But
anyone in town can tell you how to get there. Not far from the Rock is
the River overlook that is worth stopping and viewing the beautiful area
to the south.
