Can anyone tell me how the William Tewell, married to Margaret Ward (date of marriage 10-5-1875) and their daughter Margaret 25 m. Lloyd Lents (dated of marriage 12-5-1903) relates to the other Tewels in the Marriage Book.
I am related to all the other Tewel's in the marriage book, but I have not been able to connect these two to them.
Does anyone know if there is a connection?
Donna,
The correct spelling is Martin County, Indiana. It is just south of the Navel
Surface Warfare Center and Dover Hill. Guess even the big companies can make
mistakes.
This area is about hour and a half or two hours south of where I live in
Greenwood, IN.

Hi,
Anyone a descendant of John Sanders (1810-1875) and his second wife, Minerva,
born about 1835 (married <1855>)? He had several children by his first
marriage (in Ohio) and the following with Minerva: Nancy, Louisa, Sarah,
Samuel, John, Easter and Ada all born in the late 1850's-early 1860's.
I am wondering if this Minerva Sanders, now a widow, is the Minerva Sanders
who married Daniel M. Kiser December 14, 1882?
In the data at Martin Co. GenWeb I found the following listing at the Mt.
Calvary Cemetery, Loogootee, In.
Minerva J. Kaiser Obituary (with no other info)
Anyone familiar with her and her date of death? I would love to know if she
is one and the same.
Thanks,
Melissa
I doubt there is a site for the town of Shoals only -- it's really a
small town (and a wonderful place!).
Have you tried http://www.rootsweb.com/~inmartin/toc.htm

I have a family Bible that belonged to my husband's step-grandfather. It was given to that man by his sister. The sister's marriage information is recorded in the Bible. Her marriage took place in 1885. I assume the marriage took place in Martin County. That is where her family was from. Her husband was from a neighboring county.
I would like to get this Bible back into the family it belong's to. It would be a treasure for the family to have. I have also posted on another county site for the husband's name. Please e-mail me with some identifying family information so I will know you are the correct family. My name is Theresa. E-mail address is: bweddell(a)prodigy.net Thanks

You can use the US Geological Survey Maps/serach engine to find any cemetery,
creek, valley, town, however obscure, in the US. There is also a provision
for printing maps, zoomed in, to allow for driving instructions. We've used
this to locate many tiny old cemeteries in different parts of the US.
Everyone should bookmark this resource.

Gail,
I wish I could say I can help, but I went through my 'Waggoner's' and there was nothing close. I have two different sets, one on my husbands side and one on mine. But I will keep you in mind, just in case. Sorry.

Hi, would be interested to know if you have any information on the marriage of Charles Hillsworth to Ann Waggoner. I have been researching the Hillsworth family from the UK, USA, and Ireland. Charles and Ann were married 1834, Fort Wayne. Many thanks, Gail Smith.

I believe that Nancy Baker has death records available to check. She lives in Martin Co and is willing to do lookups. Her email address is: nbaker(a)dmrtc.net
I hope this has been of help to you.
