Esther, I have been doing some extensive research on my Fletchers since I posted here. Don't know if I responded back. The Sarah that married Barnett Benefield was the Sister to John Roland Fletcher. Sarah A . Fletcher , J. R. and Lavina's(my grt .grt grandparents) daughter married Eli Hughs according to the Martin Co. Marriage records on 9-4-1891. Still looking for more though, so please let me know if you come across any information.
I have traced a family of Fletchers to Spiceland IN that migrated there in the mid 1700's. They lived in the general neighborhood of my Caseys in NC. Casey 's in Currituck and Fletchers in Perquimans and Pasquotank Co. NC. Casey migrated into Daviess Co. in 1850. Hope to make a connection as a work the Fletcher's .

Clarinda & Ada Victoria Mosier, daughters of Miles &

The husband of Catherine Sherrill was Benjamin Franklin.
They were not married in Martin Co. But they had a daughter, Mary Franklin,
that married first, a Sullivan and
then Charles W. King, 12-23-1892.
Was Catherine Sherrill Franklin related to Leonard Sherrill ?
Let me know if I can be of further help to you. This is getting complicated
isn't it ?

I see a listing for another marriage of Catherine Mosier and

Did Miles Mosier die some time before Catherine's second marriage ? I copied some of the death indexes the last time I was in Martin County but I did not think of the"M" volume. Any help would be appreciated. Please advise cost of reimbursement.

I am now able to get back online after being without electricity for the
past week. We were hit here by a devastating ice storm last week. Many
people are still without power.
If anyone has sent me a message and I have not replied, it is because I
did not get it. I lost a great deal of mail due to my mailbox being full and
bouncing.
I'm glad to be back, and hope all is well.
