Neither my 1864 nor my 1876 maps show a community by this name, but the 1870 census shows a cluster of RUSH families in McCameron Twp. My 1876 atlas shows several churches in McCam. Twp. other than the one at Kecksville. This would be a likely place to look. The Crane burial indices show two George RUSH burials in the late 1930's, one at Holt Cemetery and one at Waggoner Cemetery.

Does anyone know where the village of Rusk was located in Martin County Indiana? It was established about 1830.
There is also a clickable link to adding your family
reunions and other family happenings or Martin CO
happenings located on the link page. It's at the
bottom of the page.
It be great if you all added things.
Nancy Baker you might list when the Genealogy and
History Societies meet in the calandar.

I would like to inform you that I have just created a new website, the Courty Family Genealogy, located at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ccourty. The website includes family trees for the Blasius, Courty, Ellis, Petit, Poindexter, and Rich families, and pictures of family members and graves. Please take a moment to visit my site and pass along any additions or comments.
Thanks,
Christine
I'll second that motion!

I guess he fails to see that we do come to Martin CO
and we do pay sales taxes while we visit... we as
genealogist help to support the economy of Shoals and
other places. He needs to take a good look around at
what Shoals does have and think about how much money
that has helped to burild and preserve things there
comes from money paid by out of towners. He might be
surprised.
