Hi,
We are reseaching our Neidever,Neideffer family that lived in Martin Co. 1880 until? We know some are buried at Mt.Pleasant and in the Reiley Cememtery and in Lagootee at the Goodwill Cemetery. If you are familiar with anyone in this family we would love to exchange information.
Thanks, Gwen
John L. Keck Jr. was the son of John L. Keck and Nancy Jane Ragle,
apparently one of two children of this couple. His sister, Taletha Keck, is
buried in Burns City Cemetery [listed as "Laletha", d. 1937]. John Jr. m.
Alice Hamilton. That is all I know about this "first cousin twice removed."
I would be delighted to either be put into contact with the descendents of
John Jr. and Alice, or to receive any genealogical details that anyone
might know. Both John Jr. and Taletha attended the Preparatory Class,
Indiana University, as [high school] seniors for the year 1880-1881,
according to IU records.
Thanks,
John Ragle

Hope this helps,

Nancy,
Perhaps she remarried a "Porter"? I guess that's a possibility. Since you're also convinced she was a "McClellan", can you confirm if her parents were Joel McClellan and Anna Casey?
Thanks for all your help!

I am seeking information on the family of JOHN STEALEY BERKSHIRE.
In the Martin County Indiana 1870 Census the name is spelled
BURKSHIRE. John and his family are living in Columbia Twp. #307.
My question please is: where is Columbia TWP. and are there
cemeteries listed for this area?
Thank you,

Lisa,
I am also confused as to why it says A. E. Porter. I don't know
if the mistake was made by the recorder or the typist of the
cemetery. I am sure she was a McClellen.
Will check and see if I can find anything else on this cemetery.

Nancy,
Thanks for your reply. I have been communicating with another lady about this line and have learned a great deal. I agree that the people you listed are my line, however, I have one question. According to my other information, I have John Stuffle married to Almira E. McClellan (1880 Martin Co. Census pg.207 McCameron Twp.) with the same children you listed (minus the variations in spelling)...you said that John's stone was erected by his wife A.E. Porter?? Can you tell me where you got "Porter" as her last name? I'm confused about that one.
Just FYI, Sarah Ann Stuffle was also one of John and Almira's children, but she was already married by the 1880 census to John Riley Earl. So anyway, I think I'm slowing figuring this family out. Thanks for all your help.
