Martin County married into this family. Thanks, Jolene

Fatal Accident. Last Saturday a young man named George FOSTER, resident of Martin County, in company with a friend went out hunting and when a few miles from Loogootee, FOSTER set his gun on a small limb or stick. The gun slipping was discharged, the entire contents taking effect in the loser part of the abdomen. After the accident occurred, the young man with him ran for assistance, and FOSTER gathering his entrails in his hands, walked fifteen or twenty steps and laid down. A physician soon arrived and found young FOSTER past recovery. He lingered in great pain until about 9:00 PM at night when he died.

I tried to find out more about your message on the Harper stabbing from the Washington Gazette and didn't find it. Can you give any more details? I am looking for Harper family and know some Harpers lived in Martin Co. . My family lived in Daviess Co. but the Harpers are probably related.

Stabbing Affray -- Our usually quiet town was the scene of a most dastardly stabbing affray on Saturday evening last. A man by the name of HARPER, who has been working for sometime past in a coal bank for Mr. PATTERSON, was fatally stabbed by a man by the name of THOMPSON. The trouble seems to have been occasioned by too much whisky. THOMPSON made his escape and up to this writing has not been arrested. -- Martin County Herald. THOMPSON was seen in this place on Tuesday evening.

Hello
I am doing some genealogy for a friend. She is interested in
information on Samuel Omar Wilcoxen and Emma Elizabeth Laughlin who had two children in Martin County, Indiana:
??? (female) 9 Aug. 1901 and Samuel 17 Oct. 1908. There is apparently also a third child, Samuel. We are not sure where he was born. Her information shows them marrying,
living and having children in Shoals, Indiana. Samuel died
in 1942 at approx. 75-80 years of age. Any information would be appreciated.
