Hi....Thanks...hope I catch you before you leave for Marshall Co.
This is the info I have:
James Smith b. in Edinburgh? Scotland, Aug. 1862 (need exact date, if
possible)
He died 20 Jan 1946 in Plymouth, IN (obit in paper?) death certificate (where
do I get this?) Married to Jane Rodger 23 Sept 1884 in Chicago. They lived
in Oak Park, IL....however, moved to Marshall Co. sometime before 1920 as I
have found them in 1920 census living at 302 Eas La Porte St. Are there
city directories? for before and after this time? Naturalization papers???
Census (1920) says his occupation was "Hitch Baru?" for Oris Baru? I am not
able to read this very well.... I think he owned some kind of trucking
company, later on. They possibly lived on a lake in later years. Their
daughter Suzanne b. 22 July 1889 in IL. d. 7 May 1976 (can you get obit?)
died in Plymouth. She was married to a Joseph Barnard, 26 June 1906 he
died 23 June 1915 (not sure where). She also married a Leonard Simpson b 21
Sept 1893 in IL. d. 27 March 1976 in Plymouth (obit?) They were married 22
June 1940 where"??? Plymouth??? she also married Joseph Wolters 20
April 1918. don't know much about him....was he in Plymouth????
Jane Rodger Smith was born 16 Jan 1866 in Glasgow, Scotland. She died in 1945
in IL.
I would just like to find out as much as possible about them while they lived
in Plymouth area. Did they live on a farm later? on a Lake? Can you get
the obits? Marriage info??? Death info???? Whatever you can find would be
appreciated. Thanks!!! How much do you charge for the service???
