Roll call:
Timothy F. DEVENY is my main ancestor from Marshall county. He had two sons from his
first marriage to Margaret Unknown: Jacob DeVeny and Elias DeVeny. Jacob was born in
1828 in Ohio and lived in Marshall County most of his life. He had at least three wives:
Sylvira CARR, Catherine HAGGERTY, and Kathryn BURNS. Some of Jacob's children were:
Martha J. DeVeny, James DeVeny, Henry Clay DeVeny, Emma Etta DeVeny, Elizabeth DeVeny,
Charles B. DeVeny and Estella DeVeny.
The second son, Elias was born in 1831 in Ohio and he, also, lived in Marshall County all
his life. He had two wives: Nancy S. FINCH and Eunice M. HAMLER. There is a son, Edward
DeVeny from his first marriage and three children from his second marriage: Judson M.
DeVeny, Dora M. DeVeny and Chester B. DeVeny.
After Margaret died, the father, Timothy DeVeny, married a second time to Julia Cart and
their children are: Margaret DeVeny, b. 1 Mar 1843 who married David Josiah THOMPSON;
William H. DeVeny, b. 19 Aug 1844 who married Catherine LONG; John DeVeny, b. 18 Oct 1845
who married Hannah STOCKMAN; Rachel Jane DeVeny, b. 27 Oct 1847 who married William
WILLIAMS and then Aaron MARTIN; Lewis DeVeny, b. 21 Aug 1848; Wesley DeVeny, b. 13 Sep
1852 who married Helen Davis, Samantha Nicholas and Cornelia Haynie; Samuel Edward
DeVeny, b. 17 Mar 1854 who married Jane St. Clair WITT; Sylvester Marion DeVeny, b. 7 Apr
1856 who married Emma Estell CAMP and Rebecca Ellen DeVeny, b. 10 Feb 1859 who married
Albert J. BASH.

Culver area in about 1906 is requested.
In addition, would lists of students at this school be available at the
Plymouth library or elsewhere?
