This post was in error. A helpful list member sent me an obit on this
Marshall Co., George W. Wright & it seems that the Marshall Co. George was
a cousin to my George, who died in 1892, in LaGrange Co. IN. They were
born within a year of one another & had the exact same name. I would still
appreciate any Wright info though, since this is the same family from VA &
then OH prior to coming into IN.
Thank you,

Subject: [InMarsh] WRIGHT family of Marshall Co.
Hello,
I am new to the list & wish to post my family of interest. George W.
WRIGHT was in the 1880 census for Marshall Co., listed as a "farmer" &
having been born in abt 1818 in VA. His first wife was Elizabeth but in
this census, he was marr to an Emelia with a dau, Patience, in the h/h.
One of Geo & Elizabeth's daughters, Mary married a Charles F. OSBORN, went
to MO & on to MT where both died.
George was the brother to my 3rd gr grandfather, James WRIGHT, a
Methodist-Episcopal minister in Rush Co. IN before moving on to Jasper Co.
IL. These Wrights were closely associated with this denomination &
their father, Reuben WRIGHT, was a minister in Knightstown. They were
from VA originally & went to OH before moving to IN & some to IL. George
had lived in Logan Co. OH, Noble Co. IN & LaGrange Co. IN before moving
to Marshall Co.
Any help or info appreciated. Have more info on these folks & pictures to
share with anyone connected to my WRIGHTS and/or OSBORNS. I believe that
Geo probably died in Marshall Co. & I would like to know also if there is
a death index available.
Thank you,
Diane Ethridge
