Steven,
I was especially interested in the mention of Tyner in the Marshall County
History book. I was born and raised in Tyner, as was my mother who was
born
in Tyner in 1911 and still lives there. (Just celebrated her 90th
birthday). I, along with many of my friends and relatives, graduated from
Tyner High School, which no longer exists. Many of the people I knew, as
well as numerous relatives, are buried in the Tyner cemetery.
The Tyner High School Alumni still holds an annual banquet each spring and
I have taken it upon myself to put together a small newsletter to
accompany
the banquet invitation. Some of the historical articles you have
would
most
certainly be a welcome addition to the newsletter. If there is any
way I
could get copies of the articles having to do with Tyner, I would be
forever in you debt. I would be more that happy to reimburse you for any
costs incurred.
I think I have mentioned this before on this list, but I have a fairly
complete list of people who have graduated from the Tyner school. If
anyone wants me to check for a name, let me know. The list covers from
approximately 1900 to 1966. There are about 1200 individuals on the list.
